Gift Osinya made headlines in March 2014 for his heroism after rescuing his baby brother Satrine during a terror attack at Joy Church in Likoni.

According media reports, Gift carried his brother after their mother - Veronica Akinyi - died when a bullet tore through her body while trying to shield the latter.

Satrine later underwent a surgery to remove the bullet which was lodged in his brain while his brother was awarded by Jubilee Insurance Samaritan Award (JISA) for his bravery.

Nairobi Senator Mike 'Sonko' Mbuvi later took them in and he has been providing for them as he would do for his own children.

He also enrolled the them at posh schools. His wife took Baby Satrin to Mumwe Kindergaten in Runda while Gift went to Bethlehem Academy - a private boarding school in Ruiru.

Sonko's efforts of investing in the elder Osinya's education paid off on Thursday, December 1 after he passed his KCPE exams with flying colours.

In a social media post, the flamboyant politician revealed that his adopted son got 399 (A) after scoring 77% (A) in English, 85% (A) in Kiswahili, 87% (A) Mathematics, 77% in Social Studies and 73% (B) in Science.

Sonko could not hide his joy reason being he socred an E both in his KCPE and KCSE exams while his son got a straight A.

Congratulations are in order.
