We all remember Jackline Mwende, the woman whose husband was charged with chopping off both her hands. Thanks to well wishers, Mwende was flown to South Korea last month to get some artificial limbs, since the prosthetics she needed were not available in Kenya.
And after a successful operation on Thursday in South Korea’s capital city Seoul, Mwende, has finally been fitted with new prosthetics and is in the process of recovery. The operation was conducted at the Dai Han Prosthetics Labs.
According to reports, doctors have said that after the full healing process, Mwende will be able to regain 80 per cent use of her arms. She and her sister are expected to leave Seoul tomorrow night (Sunday, October 9) to arrive in Kenya on Monday.
