Word on the street is that Janet Mbugua has landed a better paying job days after quitting her work at Royal Media Services (RMS).
Reports indicate that she will be joining the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) in a few weeks after signing a deal that will see her become the head of communications and advocacy.
The popular media personality who is said to be serving on short notice at Citizen TV will be based at the organization’s office in South C, Nairobi.
Sources say she resigned from her job to focus on her family while speculations is rife that she fell out with the senior management of the company.
Although not confirmed, RMS had asked the sultry news anchor give up her endorsements and give her full attention to her job or pack her bags, seemingly she chose the latter.
It was also reported that Mbugua and Hussein Mohammed quit their jobs while protesting the Sh2 million salary that Jeff Koinange was offered upon joining the station.
Sources who proffered to remain anonymous confirmed that Janet will soon be joining the humanitarian organization adding that the new job wouldn’t have come at a better time.
