Kenya's openly gay and HIV positive human rights activist George Barasa popularly referred to as Joji Baro has been hospitalized.

The homosexual gospel artiste who is known for his courageousness was attacked last night by a fellow gay man whom he has been housing.

According to sources, Joji has been housing homeless LGBT members thus risking being arrested or locked out by the landlord as many still do not condone homosexuality.

The soft-spoken man is said to have ordered one of the men he has been housing to leave his premises but this did not go well. The lad hit him leaving him with severe injuries.

“Someone claiming to be gay and homeless came to me to be hosted. After a few weeks he grew overly rude to everyone; and on Sunday, I told him we can't stay with him anymore and he had to leave as he was scaring the other people in the house. That's when he struck me. He hit me on my head. I'm told and I fell down and lost consciousness. I woke up with a concussion,” said Joji.

Joji has not reported the matter to the police lamenting that little is done to help him whenever he reports assault matters.

"I have lost my sense of hearing to my left ear and its oozing fluids. My jaw is dislocated and makes a crackling sound when I try to talk and eat," added Baro

Joji Baro shared a photo while in hospital and captioned it;

"It takes more than a murder to kill me. I have cheated death so many times. I'm still here."
