It has been a brutal year for the media fraternity.So far, all the major media houses have restructured, re-strategized and re-organised to the detriment of media personalities. Many have lost their jobs after they were declared redundant.

One of the media personalities who got axed in the media scourge was Swahili news anchor, Ann Ngugi.

Ann narrated how life after retrenchment was a complete shocker. It also saw her lose friends whom she thought would have her back. Some even completely refused to pick her calls.

Ann announced the good news in a Facebook post that saw many flock to congratulate her.

"Haya basi mambo Ni kama hayo ..New Beginning," Ann told her fans on Social Media.
