'Mummy, go in peace,' Media personality mourns

Media personality Renee Ngamau is mourning the loss of her mother, Tabitha Wanjiku Ngamau.

She passed away at home on Easter Sunday, April 12, "peacefully surrounded by her family."

In her working years,Wanjiku, as she was popularly known, worked for National Council of Churches of Kenya.

Her funeral will be held in private in compliance with the Kenya Government restrictions due to the Covid- I 9 pandemic.

Renee took to her social media to pay tribute to her mum.

She wrote,

"There is nothing as painful as losing a loved one. Yet in all of this, we recognize that all of life has a start and an end. It is the in between and what we do then that counts."

She continued, "Thank you for your support over the last two years. And even now in the moment of transition thank you for the love the prayers and the blessings. For those who are able to help contribute towards the medical bill, a special thanks for your generosity and abundance. We recognize how tight things are at this time and how every shilling matters."

Adding,

"To mummy, go in peace. Earth may have lost a warrior, but heaven just gained an angel of light."
