Forget the controversy that has been following Mheshimiwa Babu Owino. It turns out that he has had a rough past.

The Embakasi East MP says his father passed away when he was in class three and since then, his mother brought him and his two siblings up by selling cChang'aa.

He told Daniel Ndambuki during his Churchill show segment that he got used to being arrested when he was in primary school.

"I was brought up from Nyalenda slums, my dad passed away when i was in class three. My mum used to sell Chang'aa to bring us up. The reason why I'm used to arrest now is because i used to be arrested while in primary school."

Mheshimiwa says the worst of them all was when he got arrested on the eve of a biology paper.

"The worst of it all is when i was doing my KCSE exams, on that specific night i was selling of course as usual and police came, arrested me took me to the police station in Kisumu. The OCS released me the following morning at 8:30 AM. It was crazy"

Talking about his fight with Starehe MP Charles Njagua alias Jaguar, Mheshimiwa Babu Owino, said the two of them are friends and what they had was simply a friendly fight.

"Jaguar is my friend. That was a friendly fight. You know at times its allowed. I hope you saw he apologized. I had forgiven him even before he apologized."

Babu said all this during the Churchill Show.
