'I'm forever grateful you left me your two sons,' Mukhisa Kituyi mourns his son Makari

Secretary-General of UNCTAD Dr Mukhisa is still mourning his first born son Ivar Makari after he died from a diabetic attack.

Taking to his twitter account, Mukhisa mourned his son and thanked him for leaving him grandsons to 'console' him.

'Five years ago today you slipped out of our grasp dear Ivar Makari.

As we learn to live with the pain and loss.

I’m ever grateful to God that you left me these beautiful grandsons; Brendan Walyaula and Mikal Mukhisa.'

On June 28, 2015, Ivar Makari Kituyi died at the age of 30. He suffered a diabetic attack. Ivar was buried at his father's Mbakalo Tongaren Constituency home.
