Phylis Ngirita has been trending after she broke down in tears while addressing president Uhuru.

She was filmed asking him to order the court to allow the Ngiritas to access their frozen bank accounts.

She said her son has been affected and been out of school for sometime now.

She said he has been reduced to a 'chokora' (street kid) and can only speak in English, Swahili and Kikuyu languages.

Miaka mbili tumeteseka. Mtoto aliwacha shule, anaelekea kuwa chokora… Wamekataa kabisa kufungua hiyo account. Mtoto ata hawezi ongea Kijerumani, anaongea Kikuyu na Kiswahili ama Kizungu,' Ngirita lamented.

She also stated that the Ngiritas cars and other properties had been seized by the police, forcing her to use matatus (public transport).
