Mouths were left agape last week when a man came out as socialite Corazon's father and alleged that he had been neglected after spending all his money on his children's education fees. The Nairobian which uncovered the story reported that Corazon, through her manager and sister claimed that their father is well off and not in the country.

We thought that was the end of that story until a friend of the family commented on our Facebook page and told all about the family.

Unsure as to whether this guy was just an impostor seeking to tarnish Corazon's name or a real family friend, we decided to call Corazon but first we had to verify her number. A true caller search revealed that the number was registered to one Corazon Corazon.

I called her yesterday, introduced myself and before I even asked her if I was speaking to Corazon, she told me

"This is not Corazon, this is her manager."

Undeterred, I asked her whether she has heard about the whole debacle and she said that she hadn't. I explained it all to her and after much pleading, I asked her whether she could get some feedback from Corazon. She said she would talk to her. Today when I called again, she graciously picked my call and told me that Corazon doesn't want to talk about it.

This would have been a lovely opportunity to clear the air on the whole debate, but it seems that Corazon doesn't wish to jump on that opportunity.
