Last week, I did a piece in which an N.M.G insider was accusing the Nation Media Group C.E.O of tribalism amongst other things. The other charge was of not taking information security seriously and this charge allegedly resulted in missing data.

Last week, I attempted to reach out to Linus Gitahi but he is a busy man and so I caught him when he was working away from Nairobi. But never fear, Uncle Chim Tuna is as resilient as bedbugs and indeed, as stubborn.

I called him up today in the morning and he was rather cordial and open. He even invited me for a cup of tea at Nation Media Group headquarters just to prove that he is open about everything. This is what he had to say:

"Infact for tribalism, what I would like to encourage you to do, is (Yah!) Let me open up Nation Media Group to you. Interview as many people as possible. Walk around and if you confirm that I am tribal, then you can hang me."
