Controversial Kenyan gospel artiste L Jay Maasai came into the limelight after releasing his debut track Maasai 4 Christ in 2012 which caught many people's attention and received massive airplay on local radio stations.

Three years down the line, the once scandal-free gospel singer now finds himself entangled in some of the worst controversies in the music industry. (Read post below)

Now even worse news about L Jay Maasai is coming out and it's shocking. According to his former manager, the singer is apparently deep in debt, and is one of them.

The former manager alleges that L Jay was evicted from his rental apartment in Kasarani Equity area for failing to pay rent for around 3 months, and he has now been forced to live with a female friend in Lang'ata.

The caretaker at the apartments from which it is alleged the artiste was kicked out, indeed confirmed that the singer owed rent arrears amounting to Sh 48,000, forcing them to evict him and auction some of his property.
