Akothee is without doubt a hard working lass who would do a lot to get her songs played. She and bongo star Diamond Platnumz collaborated on the song Sweet Love, which was received well in East Africa and across the borders.
To date, Akothee is the only Kenyan artiste that has done a collabo with the Salome hit maker. Just after their collabo was out, fans speculated that she had paid the father of two millions.
Akothee then went ahead to collaborate with Nigeria’s Flavour and the song Give It To Me was born. Rumours then had it that she had paid this lad the same amount she paid Diamond.
When asked whether she paid Diamond Platnumz 2million Kenya shillings for the collabo, Akothee confessed to Eric Njoka.
“What is 2 million, thats peanuts…I;m not saying no but ‘m not saying yes….We don’t have to talk about prices, if the song was not good then if we had pay we would ask for our money back…
Mpasho sat down in a one-on-one interview with Diamond where he shut down the rumours saying he was not paid a dime and further added he collaborated with the Benefactor hitmaker due to her aggressiveness to do good music.
