Kibra MP Ken Okoth is dead. He was rushed to Nairobi Hospital's ICU on Thursday night after multiple organ failure.

Okoth has died at 41 years, serving his second term.

Two weeks ago, Okoth made his first official appearance to the public after being away in France for five months seeking treatment for colorectal cancer.

He had attended the Kibra Music Fest at Moi Girls School, Nairobi where he thanked Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi for supporting his constituency.

Mheshimiwa Tim ameona Undugu ni kufaana. Na sitasimama maovu yakitawala.

At the event he left many in stitches after singing Rich Mavoko's song;

Kuna jamaa mmoja anatoka huko Tanzania, anacheza bongo flava anasema, hayo maneno walinena wazee wa zamani, ukiwa mjanja kuchapiwa ni siri ya ndani.

In March, Okoth told Kenyans that he was managing stage four colorectal cancer and will survive.

He showed confidence that he will overcome 'the monster' in a Twitter reply to Benjie Wambui who had asked how he was doing.

"How are you Mheshimiwa? I am praying for you today,” Wambui had posted.

Okoth responded, “Napambana na hali yangu (I’m managing my condition) and we shall overcome.”
