Everywhere is not safe, but there are some places in Nairobi that are more dangerous than others. And one of the places where motorists need to be extra vigilant when driving at night or daytime is the new southern bypass.

There's a short video doing rounds on social media showing a group of thugs running away after robbing a driver near the Lang'ata NHC houses.

Apparently, what these crooks do is to slow down in front of you or someone pretends to be hurt in the middle of the road, and when you also slow down, they attack.

A few months ago, there were several cases of motorists being robbed by armed thugs mostly along Mombasa Road, but that seems to have ended since there haven't been any robbery reports lately.
