From Alliance Girls to loved screen actress: Mother-In-Law's Charity narrates journey to stardom

Mother-In-Law actress Charity Mwamba whose real name is Elizabeth Wanjiru has been in the acting industry for 11 years.

In an interview with Radio Jambo on Ilikuaje segment with Massawe Jappanni, Charity who started acting in Mother-In-Law dramedy narrated her journey to stardom.

Acting has been part of my life. I used to act from my days back at Alliance Girls High School. I was taught by my headmistress who used to teach English and Literature. Basically, I got my acting skills from Alliance as I Use to perform in several plays.

The directors wanted someone who could play a different role and He found out about me in a book titled Mutu. I acted as Mutu's second daughter and after reading it, that's how the director got to know about me. My name was in there,' she said.

The 77-year-old actress is a staunch Christian and choir member at one of the PCEA churches in the city.
