Mombasa youths have decided to take over the Portuguese built National Heritage; Fort Jesus. The fort that was built in 1591 by order of Portuguese King Philip has now been turned into a graffiti wall that will make sure coast musicians are remembered forever.

The young men have smeared the walls of Fort Jesus using red paint with messages that praise their local musicians and their local slang.

The question is, does the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) really care about this?
