Gone Too Soon: Meet the brave soldier killed during the Al Shaabab attack in Lamu

A terror attack at Manda Bay airfield early on Sunday cut short the life of a US Serviceman Mitch Mayfield who was only 23.

Others who were killed were two American Department of Defense personnel. Several US aircraft and vehicles were also destroyed before the Al Shaabab attackers were repelled.

According to his social media platform, Mitch joined the army in 2016.
