Of late, The Kenyan gospel industry seems to be swimming in controversy after controversy, with some of the musicians doing what is not expected of them as Christians, and a lot of scandals that I don't want to get into right now.

But when we thought that the drama was over, something else happened at the start of this week and this time it has nothing to with nudes or sex tapes.

It was revealed that gospel singer Denno, famed for his hit song, 'Mbona' is not living the happy and poverty-free life we thought he was, even though his song was the biggest and the most downloaded song in 2012 to 2013.

Denno did the song with one of the gospel's big wigs, Daddy Owen and according to Bahati who revealed the sad state of affairs, it looks like he did not receive the royalties he was supposed to from the song, hence the reason he did the collabo 'Story Yangu' to reveal all this.

Daddy Owen's famous brother and CEO of Lampstand Records, Rufftone took to social media to defend his brother, stating that Denno was given 1 Million shillings but misused it.

He also claimed that Daddy Owen opened a business for Dennis, but he did not know how to maintain it.

Well, I think it's gotten to a point where we don't know who is telling the truth or who is lying, but Kalekye Mumo and Shaffie Weru took it upon themselves to get each singer's comment on this trending issue.

Denno has revealed that he did not receive the 1 Million shillings in cash and affirmed that he has no beef with Daddy Owen, Maintaining that he has not been receiving any royalties.

Daddy Owen refused to comment much on the issue, but admitted that he met with Dennis's family on Monday 7th December and they came to an agreement, reinforcing that Denno and Bahati are his musical children.

Too much talk, now listen to the audio on the next page and get it from the horses mouth>>
