Gospel singer Jimmy Gait has responded to critics who have been trolling and bashing his latest release. The song is a cover of Adelle's "Hello" and has been a hot topic on Kenyan social media, Whatsapp groups, TV and radio.
Speaking to Radio Citizen's Mambo Mseto, Gait sounded unperturbed by the criticism. He says that the song's depth and emotional aspect inspired him to do a spinoff. So he did the cover. He says that God is deep and always wants us to know how much he loves us, and that's the message he wanted to put across.
In reaction to his bashing on Twitter, the "Makeke" singer said that he is totally okay with that. He says that he is a public figure and both negative and positive comments are expected to come his way. The artiste said that he does not have any vendetta against Kenyans and that is why he has been bringing them new music.
