A charge sheet from Milimani law courts has shown all the five names that Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko uses in his day to day life.

The names are Kioko Mike Sonko Mbuvi, Mbuvi Gidion Kioko Mike Sonko, Mbuvi Gidion Kioko, Mike Sonko Mbuvi Gidion Kioko and Gidion Kioko Sonko.

Sonko is being charged alongside Peter Mbugua Karuki, Patrick Mwangangi, Wambua Ndaka, Andrew Nyasiego, Samuel Mwangi Ndungu.

Edwin Kariuki Murimi, Lawrence Mwangi Mukuru and Preston Mwandiki.

Sonko was on Friday arrested in Voi after the DPP, Noordin Harji said they have enough evidence to prosecute him.

Lawyer Harrison Kinyanjui had called for the arrest of a police officer captured in camera beating and mishandling the governor.

“IT IS EMBARRASSING THAT THIS HAPPENED TO OUR BELOVED GOVERNOR WHO NOW URGENTLY NEEDS MEDICATION BECAUSE OF THE INHUMANE WAY HE WAS TREATED BY ROGUE POLICE OFFICERS IN VOI," KINYANJUI SAID.

The lawyer says the police officers defied cries from the governor who despite travelling to Mombasa to attend an official function, also needed to get medication before noon as per his doctor’s instructions.
