Governor Mike Sonko nominated for a humanitarian award!

Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has been nominated in the Humanitarian Awards of 2019 with his team being on the limelight.

The Humanitarian awards is organised by world peace and diplomacy organisation which seeks to identify humane attributes done by people all over the world.

Sonko Rescue Team is an initiative by the governor that came about when Sonko was running for office in Nairobi county as part of his agenda as soon as he got in the office.

With there being no disaster management with quick response, the governor resulted to starting his own.

The team comprises of young energetic  youths who are ready to serve.

The team has grown over the years and crossed different counties in the country and is said to soon be crossing the borders.

Various services offered by the team include;

  1. Free Ambulances
  2. Fire response services
  3. Hearse services
  4. Clean water tankers
  5. Security patrol services
  6. Fire breakdown services

The team is known to fight for the less fortunate all over the country and reaching out to the needy.

The governor is also the good deeds ambassador for Kenya.
