Being in custody for days may have turned Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko into a Christian going by the long bible verses on his social media.

Truth be told we all know that Sonko is the last person we would expect to know where Psalms or John is in the bible.

But like they say 'Never judge a book by it's cover' .

In one instance he shared of how we should not let worry weaken us, adding that nothing is impossible with God.

'God is aware of your situation.Stop worrying and start trusting Him:

1.Leave it to God

2.Let Him intervene

3.Listen to His voice

Worry will weaken you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nothing is impossible to God.

Believe God, who has everything in plenty.

Just trust in our good God (John 14:1).'

In another post he made a public prayer asking God to use Christians behind bar to bring others into the Kingdom.

'Great God in Heaven, You alone determine the future and know that which is not yet, so help these men and women to see that You have a purpose for where they are now, and know that You can use anyone for Your glory and for Your purposes, including them.

We know that You have commissioned us to make disciples of all nations, and that includes those who are incarcerated. Father, may You use these Christians behind bars to bring others into the kingdom by pointing others to Jesus Christ and trusting Him.'

Adding

'They realize that You have allowed them to suffer the consequences for their own actions, yet I realize You may use them to reach others behind bars where we cannot.

So please Father, make divine appointments for these Christians in prison, and allow them to cross paths with those whose heart You have prepared for the Word, and in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.'

A different post he shared about how the lord was his shepherd,

'Psalms 23....

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.'

In another he penned

'You have God on your side, who can never leave nor forsake you, so do not feel lonely:

1.Thank God

2.Talk to Him anytime

3.Trust His power and provision

Know your God, you will be at peace. Remember His word, you will live with power.

Ask, it shall be given to you( Matthew 7:7 ).'

Well God might have heard his prayer as he in out on bail, who knows someone else might have been posting on his behalf ndo tuskie woiye.
