History has been made in Starehe!

Popular musician Jaguar whose real name is Charles Njagua Kanyi has won the Jubilee party primaries.

The Kigeugeu hitmaker has trounced veteran politician Maina Kamanda who has been the MP for Starehe for two terms in 1998 to 2002, and in 2003 to 2007.

Jaguar who was recently involved in an accident that took away two lives still managed to run a tight race and emerge on top. He garnered more votes that his opponent Maina Kamanda.

For the general election, Jaguar will go head to head against other aspirants like Steve Mbogo who is running on a NASA ticket and Human Rights activist Boniface Mwangi.
