Why Mejja's 'love portion' hit song got hate from YouTube's trending list

Gengetone artist Nemeye Khadija popularly known as Mejja Genge has reacted after his song "Siskii failed to feature in the YouTube trending list.

This is in spite of the fact that the song was released some days ago has gained more than 350k views on YouTube.

Based on YouTube, there are so many factors that must be adhered to for a video to make it to the trending list. Among the factors include; the view count and how quick the video is generating the views.

Also it involves where the views are coming from in comparison with other videos on the same channel. Another factor is the age of the video.

However, the fact that there is a lady with a knife chasing him in the video - a depiction of violent and abusive relationships - could have contributed greatly to why the video was not given prominence in the trending video list.

Being widely known for the hit song 'Utawezana' after being featured by Femi One, most of his collabos have made it to the trending list while hes so bitter about his hit song that has not appeared in the trending list.

For this case, Mejja has broken his silence to why his song is not trending on YouTube despite having more views within three days.

He says on his Instagram,

"Nimenyimwa Trending But ni poa Bora Niko na Mungu na wagenge niko sawa!!! You can't stop the streets, shukran wagenge# siskii"
