Miss Kenya Kirinyaga County 2013 is Wambui Mureithi is excited to be taking part in this year’s Miss United Continent. The international contest, known in Spanish as Miss Continentes Unidos is based in Equador.
“I am soo excited about it! I want to go represent Kenya as a tourism destination as well as show case our culture. I’ll show the world thats it’s actually a safe place and they should come visit. I believe south America is an untapped market,” Wambui.
The model who is also supporting the Niko Sober campaign aims to look for more sponsors. The campaign aims to educate the Kenyan community on the harms of illicit brew and empowering the boy child.
“I believe Miss United Continents is the right place to do it,” she says. She’s a student in BSc. International Travel and Tourism Management at Utalii College. She aims to use her knowledge to her best to market the positives about Kenya when she arrives in the country for the pageant.
“We are currently four contestants from Africa; South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria and I hope to beat them and bring the African crown home. But I really need major support from Kenyans; we have to show them that we are capable,” she says.
