Just recently, I was reading an article on Bloomberg Business about the fonts that could literally kill your CV. I was pregnant with anticipation on sharing the tips from the article with you until I bumped into something that literally changed my mind.

A Kenyan girl has taken CV creation to the next level. So much so that NTV's Larry Madowo liked it and endorsed her. Angela Karimi decided to put her CV into a short, beautiful narrative on Youtube so that she could email it to her potential employers.

The results have been beyond her expectations as her creation is already making rounds on the Internet. I had a quick interview with her on how she came up with such a unique concept and here's what she had to say:

Harun: How did you come up with such a terrific CV concept?

Angela: I got a job at a bank as a debt recovery officer. However this was not where my passion and talent lay. I had little work experience in the field I wanted to work in, therefore I had to figure out a way to circumvent that. I knew I had the passion and talent but I had to make them see that. I wasn’t able to sell my personality through my traditional CV so I came up with the shoe story.

Harun: What pushed you to make your CV public?

Angela: Well it wasn’t actually meant to be public. The plan was to send the link and my profile to each potential employer.

However I wanted to reach just a few more people so I ran it past Larry Madowo. He liked it and later sent out a tweet about it. And as they say the rest was shoe history…

Harun: Are you still studying or you've graduated?

Angela: Yes I have. I graduated in 2013.

Harun: What kind of a job are you looking for?

Angela: I am looking for a job in the Marketing, Branding & Advertising Industry. I love coming up with concepts and strategies so it would only be right to look for a job that allows me to fully do that.

There you have it from the genius girl behind the mind-blowing concept. It takes a lot of courage to do such a thing! Watch the video below:
