Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala "prayed and fasted" for days, following the alleged kidnapping of his daughter Kathleen Nduku on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

However, the sexy lass was found at Nairobi's Sunton area of Mwiki in Kasarani, Nairobi, on Thursday, by CID officers who said she had not been kidnapped.

Kiala had earlier posted on his social media pages saying:

"My daughter, Kathleen Nduku went missing on Wednesday. She left in the morning to go to college. Today my wife received an SMS sent from Kathy's Orange line giving us threats and some demands. We have reported the matter to the police and they are dealing with it. Kindly pray for our daughter."

The police also rubbished a rumour that Nduku was found in a boyfriend's house.

In a press statement to media houses, Police Spokesperson Charles Owino said:

"MACHAKOS Deputy Governor's daughter Kathleen nduku was rescued from an empty house locked from outside ,2 guys had been arrested, and the third one, who was the mastermind is still at large and police are looking for him, the guy is an ex police officer, driving a black left handed Mercedes. People should ignore any stories being spread by the media that the girl was found in her boyfriend's house. No investigating officer was interviewed and the source of information in the media is still unknown."

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua threatened to sue Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka for linking him with the alleged kidnap.

Last Friday, Kalonzo had been quoted saying that police should question Governor Mutua on Nduku's disappearance.

"Kalonzo took to the podium and addressed hundreds of people claiming I was involved in the kidnap of my deputy's child. I will take legal action so he can prove what he said in KIbwezi." said Mutua.

Nduku, whom it is alleged is warming up to the idea of entering into elective politics, had been reportedly kidnapped and demands made to her dad to drop his 2017 bid for Machakos governorship.
