A Lamu based freelance journalist is in the forefront of ensuring that the voice of incarcerated Omar Lali is heard.

He is in jail over the death of Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai. She was buried in her father's farm in Naivasha on Saturday May 17, 2020.

The journalist called Mohamed Bin Shaib has been tweeting about Omar's innocence.

In one tweet he wrote,

Free Omar Lali the son of Lamu, Their relationship was nothing but True love. Mungu Alichukua haki yake mbona munatesa Omar!!?

Adding,

We need justice!!! Omar Lali is innocent. His only Crime is love!! Stop creating stories and making things difficult for him. #FreeOmarLali

After visiting him in Jail, Mohammed recounted his conversation with Omar.

"I visited Omar again, He told me not to worry about him because Almighty is NOT asleep, I gave her love and Almighty did the Rest. Keep watching them and TRUTH will be known. Ng’ombe Ananipa maziwa alafu mm nirudi nimuoe!?? #FreeOmar #Justice

He noted that,

"He has nothing to do with Tecra Muigai’s death. He only gave her Love. And they know very well what course the death!! The story is clear, stop going long way and let’s meet at the court. He will remain as the president of love. Innocent guy always #FreeOmar."

Concluding his Twitter campaign Mohammed then painted Omar as a loving dad, sharing photos of his children on his Twitter timeline.

He tweeted, "Free Omar Lali the son of Lamu, Their relationship was nothing but True love. Mungu Alichukua haki yake mbona munatesa Omar!!?"

Adding,

"Omar Lali together with his daughter Sofia and last born Umi!! Be Strong Omar, Almighty is not for rich people only!! It will be okey."
