This was on Wednesday after the Jubilee group meeting at State House which was chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta. John Paul Mwirigi, a 23 years young man who is the MP-elect for Igembe South Meru County, did what people could not expect a MP to do.

He came from Meru where he boarded a matatu from Maua-Meru to Tearoom stage in River Road Nairobi just like any other passenger. Surprisingly no one recognized him in the car because of his humbleness and calmness. He later met a Mr. Kobia who took him to destination.

He later spent his night at his sister's place in Nairobi Pipeline Estate. Currently, he is staying with a friend as he awaits to settle down in his own house following his first pay.

The youngest MP does not own a car and he only relies on friends to drive him. Tharaka MP George Murugara was the one who took Paul to State House with his car but after the meeting, he never wanted to bother his colleagues again. He walked out of State House past the gate towards town.

Hon. Mwirigi campaigned without any posters. He was contesting for the seat against men with big machines yet he won, campaigning on a bicycle. He is the sixth born in their family where his father died three years ago. He is a student who was hustling on the side to cater for his needs and family together with paying school fees.
