The Miss Kenya International 2015 winner was unveiled last night at a glamorous event that took place at PrideInn Hotel, Westlands, Nairobi. The unveiling comes after a rigorous campaign period that saw Kenyans vote for their favorites by liking their photos on social media. The competition was stiff!

The winner is Eunice Onyango, a 21-year-old sales and marketing student. She plans to be a peace ambassador for Kenya, help in spearheading the fight against terrorism and violence in Kenya as well as help out the victims.

"My main objective will be to reach out to all the victims of the past and present terror and intercommunal attacks, provide them with the medical attentions they have not received, look for all the homeless children who lost their parents after the attacks and be able to help them out and reach all the victims who are still traumatised in different hospitals and be able to educate and help them overcome the trauma," she says.

The beautiful Eunice will do this by her "ability to think on my feet, and answer any given questions fluently, confidently, audibly and articulately," some of the public speaking qualities that have allowed her to be where she is. She will use the Miss Kenya platform to achieve this.

What is worrying her is the impulsive terror attacks that have claimed many lives, from the Westgate Siege to the most recent Garissa University attack which collectively left hundreds dead and scores injured. Pregnant mothers are murdered, students killed mercilessly, leaving their hopeful families starting from scratch and orphans left with no one to support them. This is what she plans to work on during her tenure as the reigning Miss Kenya International queen.
