Baba Moi has a beautiful granddaughter, Laila Denise Ibrahim. She has been thrust into the limelight after going ham on deputy president William Ruto.

In a no holds barred Facebook post, Laila told off Ruto. Reminds me of when the former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi would tell off his detractors in his political hey days.

"So many conflicting stories about the Ruto-Moi Visit," she started her post.

"Their was a protocol fail on the DP's side, you cannot just show up at someone's house unannounced and without prior arrangements. Least forgetting that H.E Rtd President Moi is still a well respected STATESMAN," she blasted Ruto.

Her post went ahead to tell the DP, "You need to understand just as Machiavelli wrote in his book; 'There is nothing so self-defeating as generosity a prince should guard himself, above all things, against being despised and hated; and generosity leads you to both. It is wiser to have a reputation as a miser, which brings disdain without hatred, than by seeking a reputation for generosity to incur a name for rapacity which begets both disdain and hatred.'"

Leila continued, dropping some advise, "Your Excellency D.P, as a well respected leader call a truce between you and Hon.Senator Gideon K.Moi... Seek out a different strategy and approach and get rid of sycophancy and people who are capitalising on your rivalry... "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
