Deputy president William Ruto together with his wife Rachel adopted a baby girl back in 2015.

Ruto adopted Nadia Jerono two years ago after she was found buried with parts of her body decomposing.

She was later transferred to Madre Ippolita Children’s Home in Machakos for specialized treatment and adoption.

Nadia was named after Ruto mother.

“I’ve named her Cherono after my mother and made her part of my family,” Ruto said at the time.
