In this month's issue of Couture Africa Magazine, former TV/Radio Eve D'Souza Queen gives an indepth account of her decade-long media career and the life lessons she has amassed along the way. She is currently an actress on the SitCom Auntie Boss, which seems to be doing just well for her.

"I am extremely comfortable when I am acting, doing a show on radio and TV-hosting. What I am not sure about is emceeing. That gives me butterflies and sweaty palms. I am intimidated by it. I feel too exposed and anxious because the people are right there." she reveals.

It is surprising since she has been on TV for the longest - she did a travel show, Travel Diaries - and by now she should be confident in front of crowds.

"It is not just a mic or a camera. Acting is more natural. I just have fun with it and having worked on TV, it is like my second home," she explains.

Talking about her biggest life lesson, Eve has a very valuable point that you should note;

"In life it is very important to always keep moving no matter how painful or traumatic the experience was (she was once raped.) It is in those moments that you realize how much strength you have. If you sit and wallow in self-pity you just get pulled down further. My negative experiences have made me stronger, not weaker," declares the lady who has also turned out to be one of the most-promising women entrepreneurs in Kenya.

On dating, she says that she is an old school kind of a girl who believes on building friendship first; through courtship and going on dates. The Couture Africa issue is available on stores in Nairobi and around the country.
