MCA Tricky pays tribute to Ayeiya, other celebrities who died in April

Ayeiya also known to many as 'AKA' died in April last year after the car that he was traveling in hit an electricity post along Magadi Road.

Comedian MCA Tricky has come out to celebrate the fallen comedian a year after his death.

"Ni mwaka kamili tangu bro utuache ,,,best friend hadi tukienda #ChurchillOntheRoad tulikua tunaadjacent seats ..Najua ulikua na mabeshte but kumbuka you the first to tell me "Bro unaweza mbaya!" Meaning "You loved my first ever shows" ,,then kidogo kidogo "uchomi" za kwanza tatu hivi ni wee uliniitia pamoja na mushina mwenzetu @njoro_the_comedian ,,(uchomi wasee ni events tunaitagwa kuperform) ..Ayeiya you introduced courage into my art,, when we could chat and exchange the loud "A mutude" shouts whenever we met,, I miss and will ever miss that greeting !!

Born Emmanuel Makori, Ayeiya had many signature styles.

His fans can vividly remember how he used to walk on stage. Ayeiya would come in with his signature beats and say.

“Ayeiyaaaaa, Poa Poa”

He would immediately introduce his topic of the day.

Ayeiya would walk on stage with his black briefcase and one memorable thing about him was that he never missed putting on his cap.

On a month like this, the country also lost a person who was one of Kenya's biggest media personalities, Janet Kanini who succumbed to death after battling lung cancer.

Another prominent person who passed away was Kenneth Matiba. Matiba died on Sunday while receiving treatment at the Karen Hospital. He died at the age of 85.
