Popular Kenyan sports journalist, Chris Tsuma was laid to rest over the weekend. Tsuma was a well liked journalist who worked in the Nation's sports desk for years. He died after suffering cardiac arrest while in the gym. An avid fitness enthusiast, Tsuma was working out in the gym when he collapsed, and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a Nairobi Hospital.

Besides being a journalist, Tsuma was a lecturer at the United States International University in Nairobi and was studying towards a PhD.

News of his death was received with shock among the journalism fraternity.

Journalist, Odindo Ayieko, wrote, "When I worked at Nation Sports Desk, one of my best leaders on the desk was Chris Tsuma a great man, so passionate at work and in spirit, at times emotional yet very friendly when understood. A great sub editor he was."

After the funeral one of Tsuma's friends posted on his Facebook encouraging his mother.

"Mama Rosemary , I SALUTE YOU.!!!.after reading Sekah's timeline, Am totally touched. As we continue to celebrate the life of your son Chris Tsuma, Mama i admire you.i wish to be like you..
