Retired President Daniel Moi has left behind seven children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Moi was laid to rest today at his Kabarak home in a private ceremony which was attended by family and close friends. His burial ceremony, which took place at Kabarak was attended by over 30,000 people and mourners were offered bread, soda and a bottle of water.

He was eulogized as a patriotic politician, loving, caring and witty family man.
