Nairobi is fast becoming a very unsafe city. Crime is running rampant as criminal elements continue to invent ways of robbing residents. The new fad in robbery is drugging their victims and grabbing their belongings when they are unconscious. This tactic has been used on unsuspecting Nairobians on the streets of Nairobi and in matatus.

One lady narrated her ordeal to Kilimani Mums, explaining how she narrowly escaped the evil plans of the matatu drugging thieves.

"I thought this dragging women thing was done with... So I get in this Mwiki matatu "LINKIN PARK" 'KBX 476E' I sit down a sit next to my brother. I get my fone out and scroll down to my music, plug in my earphones and start listening to music. All of a sudden I look at my fone and I get this feeling of a headrush and like 20 second of blindness, in a panic I jump to my brothers sit and am just shaking frantically. Then these two men jump out of the matatu suddenly when I shout to my brother I've been drugged. We alight the mat and buy milk and water... feeling better now.. so anyone who uses the route anytime you see "LINKIN PARK" 'KBX 476E' RUN!!"
