Daddy Owen aka Papa Fololo is no doubt one of the top gospel artistes in the Kenyan music industry.

The celebrated artiste beat all odds and made it to the top of the music scene despite coming from a not so well-off background.

Daddy Owen, real name, Owen Mwatia is known for his inspiring songs, popularly known as gospel Kapungala, with several hit songs like; Kazi Ya Msalaba, Tobina, Jumapili, Vanity, Defender, System Ya Kapungala and more.

The singer is the second -born in a family of four brothers (who are all singers), and a sister. Some of his popular celebrity brothers include their first born Rufftone and Fidel.

Daddy Owen has also won several awards in the past, with several Groove Awards under his name, not forgetting the biggest moment when he scooped the Best Anglophone award during the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) 2010 for the song Tobina and the Artist Of The Year at the 2012 Kisima Awards.

Now, away from music, Daddy Owen is happily married to the love of his life, the stunning and humble, Farida Wambui.

The renowned artiste proposed to the elegant lass back in 2013, and back in mid-2015, he revealed that he was walking down the aisle on his social media and true to his words, the cute couple exchanged their wedding vows on the 2nd of April 2016.

The wedding was one of the most lavish, colorful and blissful ceremonies in the country, with a touch of class and simplicity at the same time. The decor, cake, gown, groom's suit, theme were just perfect!

Daddy Owen's fellow industry peers family, and close friends attended the wedding at KAG BuruBuru Church and the reception at Radisson Blue hotel which marked his transition from bachelorhood.
