One of the trendy matatus in Rongai is no more. It has been burned to ashes after it is said to have hit a pedestrian on its way to town.

The pimped out matatu which is said to cost a cool 7 million bob is now just a charred shell of it's glorious self.

The matatu known as 007 a.k.a Bond that plies the town-Rongai route is no more. That is an investment gone up in flames. It is said to have just come from being revamped and it was loved by many because it was decked out with screens behind every seat. The music system was also to die for.

Angry pedestrians and boda boda operators are reported to have set it on fire after it was involved in an accident where a life was lost. The police are yet to give an official statement on the issue.

However, Nairobi police boss Koome said he will address the issue once he gets details of the accident that took place opposite Uhuru gardens.

This incident has caused a massive traffic snurl-up on Langata Road leading to town.
