Brian Bera turned into a preacher two years after his failed attempt to enter State House armed with a knife.

The former Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student who hails from Mt.Elgon has declared himself as a prophet.

Through his Facebook page, Bera has been delivering the word of God to his followers and asking them for tithes.

According to him, his intention is to support his fellow poor people. Bera declared that he will only marry a poor woman and especially a university dropout like him.

He has opened several Facebook pages which have been suspended for failure to conform to the platform's standards.

Before storming State House in 2019, the JKUAT dropout had been sending alarming messages on his Facebook page, threatening the president.

He said that he was on a religious mission to execute 'thieves who oppressed Kenyans.

However, his plan failed as he was shot by guards while seeking forceful entrance into Uhuru's official residence.

Bera was taken to hospital and held in police custody awaiting his arraignment to court.

His father pleaded with the court to release him, saying that his son was mentally ill.

"Brian is sick and what he needs is proper psychiatric care. Taking him to court is subjecting him to more anguish,” his father pleaded.

After his release, the self-declared prophet later apologized to President Uhuru, promising not to repeat his actions.
