A Kenyan man identified as David K Rono lost his life on the spot after his Mercedes car hit the wall of Wilson airport.

Rono   was the CEO and director of a clearing firm Elmon Agencies.

His identity had earlier been confused with that of Kevin Rono, a man who works for Deputy president William Ruto.

According to Langata Deputy OCPD John Sichei, Rono was going home after a night out.

'The accident happened at around 7:48 am and it involves a Mercedes number plate KCX 034B.'

According to witnesses, Rono was coming from Weston and was very drunk.

'He was advised against driving his car but took it anyway.

He drove very fast and when he approached Sunshine Secondary he lost control.

He then hit a fence belonging to Wilson airport and the front part of his car caught fire.'

Sichei further added

'It has been confirmed that Rono IS no more, we are making plans of taking his body to a morgue.'

Below are photos from the accident scene.

Don't drink and drive.
