As August "the cursed month" comes to an end, a man lost his life at the notorious dark spot near Blue Post Hotel in Thika. The man was said to have been dodging police officers who were chasing after him before he hit a barrier on the super highway.

The man was thrown out of the car and fell on the concrete river bank of a river that passes down the highway and died on the spot. His car was later towed away.
