Former Machachari actress Cindy born Clara Wamaitha has appealed for help after she developed Vitiligo after the show.

Cindy known to many as Mama Stella, the actress has been ailing for some time and is currently under medication.

Speaking during an interview with Hiram Maina, she says she noticed the first spec of change before the show ended but she ignored it.

'Even before Machachari ended I noticed some colouring but then I ignored it. It later became full-blown but am currently recovering.

As artists, we have been grounded for some time so I was looking upon my daughter to take care of me and all my hospital bills,.

I have been to almost all hospitals.'

Cindy says getting sick left her depressed and it's only through the support of friends and family that she accepted her condition.

It has been a tough journey and at some point, I became depressed before I finally accepted things for what they are.

Cindy added

'I used the cash I had to set up a job for my son, pay rent and even pay for my medical bills.

Thanks to everyone who stood by me as my esteem is now back.'

Her message to the entertainment industry

'I am like this for now and I will be back t myself. If you want me to play any role just call me as I still have my character.'

She has appealed to help so that she can seek medical help as the medications do not come cheaply.

She also wouldn't mind assistance to open a business as she is currently idle at home.
