There is this one thing that's associated with artistes. I don't know whether it holds a pinch of truth or it's just an ethos formed by "behavioural experts" on artistes. For the longest time, musicians have been branded as lovers of alcohol. Among other earthly fantasies, artistes are often said to be imbibing liquor at any available chance. But I ask again, is it the truth?

Last year, rapper Frasha of the P-Unit group vowed to challenge himself, by taking a self-imposed 100-day 'sober challenge'. Over the period he kept himself away from indulging in alcohol in an attempt to send a message to the youth. After a month without alcohol, Frasha came out "victorious".

Now, another Kenyan rapper has done the unthinkable. He has confessed how he has saved himself from drowning millions of shillings in alcohol, to become a sober philanthropist.

Months after leaving Grandpa Records, rapper Kenrazy has pushed himself to the wall to do something he has always found difficult to even try. He has been three months sober! Yes you heard it right. The Mbilikimo Mkora hit star, who surely likes his bottle, challenged himself to go alcohol-free for 90 days.

"3 Months Ago I set a Challenge for myself to go "90 Days without Alcohol". Hata mimi sikudhani ntatoboa but it's great that I have managed to go through the challenge and also just proved that most of the things we put in our life huwa tu ni starehe ambazo anyone can control and don't let it destroy or control us. Anyway My #90DaysOfNoAlcohol has been a Success and The Most important thing and the biggest plan is, kuchukua hizo mamilioni ningetumia kupiga maji and just take time the coming weekend and Visit the kids who really need help and just put a smile on a Kid or an Orphan who has nothing but hope in Life." -Kenrazy.
