Calls to Maqbul for comment went unanswered.

Joey Muthengi is also said to join the Capital FM family. She teased this information on her Instagram by sharing a photo with Soulo with the caption:

"Today's kids will never know... #HNH way back when 😄😂 @itssoulo."

The other changes that have been affected include the Director of programmes Somoina Kimojino taking over as the managing director in an acting capacity. This announcement was made back in 2018.

While announcing the appointment, Capital Group Board Director, Mary-Ann Musangi, said Kimojino has also been instrumental in managing many partnerships.

“She is credited for steering the Koroga dream to what it is today,” she said.

“Somoina brings to this position a wealth of experience in planning, execution, stakeholder engagement and in creating valuable partnerships. She is passionate about the Capital Group brand and is keen to continue to be associated with its successes.”

Somoina said she was excited about the new responsibility.

“It’s exciting to take the Capital FM brand to the next level. We are looking at growing our 360 degree media products with radio, online and also events,” she said.
