Maisha ni ngumu! Photos of former NTV reporter Lolani Kalu's sad state moves Kenyans to tears

Life is tough out there and photos of former NTV journalist Lolani Kalu looking emaciated have proven so.

Lolani was among the clique of journalists in the early 2000s who changed the local media industry.

Kalu together with Basset Buyuka, Robert Nagila and Richard Chacha were some of the best journalists back then on NTV and did a great job.

Lolani Kalu, whose Malimwengu show was loved by many is struggling to make ends meet after he was laid off by the Kimathi street-based media house in 2017.

Photos of Lolani were shared on Twitter by his fan identified as Ahmed Mohamed, who also revealed his sad state of life.

'Few days ago I asked about the whereabouts of journalist Lolani Kalu. Today Chief Inspector Siyat of Kaloleni Station has found him. I have spoken to Lolani. He is going through hard times & seeking for your help. His number is 0720554930. Kindly send him what you can. Thanks,' he tweeted.

Siyat commented on Ahmed's post and clarified that the multitalented reporter is not battling addiction as some people claimed.

'I am the guy in photo ndugu with lolani, he has no addiction on anything. He is a changed person and only caring for his old mum. He needs equipment like computer, camera to start his own media show called LAMATADUNI. He is talented and ambitious,' he wrote.
