The fifth edition of the First Ladies Marathon was held at Nyayo stadium with President Uhuru Kenyatta making his debut as a runner.

The head of state left tongues yesterday wagging after stepping out dressed in jeans for the 2.6km run he was to participate in.

During the Classic 105 Morning show, Maina Kageni posed,

'Did Margaret Kenyatta not tell Uhuru that people do not run in jeans?'

Mwalimu Kingangi was quick to add,

'Sonko came in nylon, he almost melted when he reached the finish line. If they were to be tested for 'drugs' by the anti-doting body they would have miserably failed.

I am sure they were out partying and maybe they did not get a chance to get home and change.'

Further adding,

'I am sure the only rule they had been given is come what may, NO ONE was to run ahead of the president. All in all he tried'

To which Maina Kageni sarcastically added,

'I am sure the race was their meeting place after a night out.
