Speaking in a live interview with Eveal health and fitness founder 24-year-old Ashley said she had participated in two other weight loss challenges but didn't win.

'This was me at my heaviest (taken last year) - and I stayed at around this size until Feb 2020 when I started trying to lose weight. I just started with @thefitnesski quarantine lean challenges when we were in lock down. And then about 3 months into it, I joined @eveal_health_and_fitness and @usnkenya’s 12 week transformation challenge. (I’m currently competing in this - to VOTE for me, check out my stories!!!) I continued to use @thefitnesski Best Damn Weightloss programme when I could finally join a gym! I remember being on the phone to my nutritionist friend and fellow fitness enthusiast @pearlbrathwaite and telling her that I wanted to lose weight but the methods I had seen people use (Keto) just didn’t sound realistic for me. She encouraged me to just eat normally. Have the carbs, enjoy some fats, keep my protein intake high and obviously add exercise as part of my lifestyle. These were the main catalysts for change. I stopped trying to do diets that just weren’t sustainable for me and started finding better ways to eat whilst allowing the odd treat meals here and there,' she wrote in part.
