The biggest ever virtual convert dubbed Kenya Ni Yetu Live will be held on August 29 this month.

Several artistes among them celebrated boy bands Sauti Sol and H_art the band, Eric Wainaina, Samidoh, Suzzana Owiyo will headline the concert.

The virtual concert aims to uplift the spirit of Kenyans and unify communities across the country at this time of social separation and anxiety.

Kenya Ni Yetu Live which is sponsored by Stanbic Bank will be aired on all major TV stations; Kiss TV, Citizen TV, NTV, KTN and K24 as well as online on www.yetulive.com.

Speaking to Mpasho about the concert, which will be the biggest in the country during this pandemic period, Wachira aka Skoko of H_art the band said,

'The experience [working with other artistes] was amazing. The thing about different artistes coming to make one product is usually very interesting for us. You get to know how different people work and with this new way of working in the COVID-19 times, it gives us some form of assurance when it comes to our work. It is amazing being part of  this virtual concert that has so many legends. It is so nice. Working with legends It didn't really scare us because when we walk into a room we always carry our confidence with us.'

Covid-19 has affected the way things work and artistes are among those who've been hit big by the pandemic.

Talking about the future of live music, Wachira said,

'The future of live music is ripe because now with Kenya Ni Yetu virtual concert, the music will live on forever. Performing Live Music is not easy there is so much that goes into it before people see it from the set up to the final product. you have to be your best self, you can't even cough because you will kill the performance. You have to be careful. It is not easy but the end product is beautiful.'

H_art The Band's is now maximising on every opportunity to make money.

'With COVID we are now focusing on the small areas we had neglected that we could make money from other than paid performances'.
